2-Alarm Apartment Fire
6500 Four Seasons Drive
Just after midnight on January 15, 2005 eastside companies were dispatched to a reported apartment fire off of Albemarle Road. On the initial dispatch were Engines 23, 3, 29, Ladder 23, and B/C 4. While enroute Engine 23's officer notified Alarm that he had heavy smoke and fire visible from a distance. Alarm added Engine 15, Rescue 3, and B/C 1 to the call with the confirmation of a working fire. Upon arrival crews from Station 23 had heavy fire from the roof of a 2-story wood-frame apartment building. Ladder 23 went to the roof with the engine making entry into the building and finding the main body of fire in the attic. B/C 4 arrived and took command, ordering a second alarm shortly thereafter and bringing Engines 14, 8, 64, Ladder 1 and B/C 3 to the fire. The fire was placed under control in less than 30 minutes.
